We have an extensive collection of forged steel, cast iron and in some cases brass dog grates and fire baskets dating back through Victorian, Georgian and Regency periods that will complement contemporary or period fireplaces.
Undoubtedly the oldest method of forging known to man is smith forging, at the hands of a skilled smith the finished product has a lustrous and uniquely hand crafted quality creating an individual fire basket design for period or contempary properties.
Fire baskets and dog grates can be used for wood or coal burning and can also have the option of a gas fire or electric fire installed into them.
