Lancashire Hall

This 18th century country house has been completely renovated and refurbished to an exceptional standard and we were honoured to have been asked to handle all the fireplace, chimney, flue and stove works.

KW Interiors prepared the design details for each room environment and, with the assistance of their first class builders and leading architects, they have created a truly fabulous home. The grade 1 listed building, it’s outbuildings and grounds were in a dilapidated state with so much time and resources being required to bring it back to life. We were involved with the refurbishment of several existing original marble fireplaces which also required new hearths, interiors and grates. The chimney stacks had to be rebuilt by the main contractor and we installed suitable steel flexible liners to each chimney as required.

We had a special size dog grate designed and commissioned for use in the glorious Entrance Hall fireplace which we complemented with Italian black slate, reed internals and flue gathering system. A new Chesneys limestone fireplace with several grates and stoves being used in other reception and bedrooms.

Whilst some of the fireplaces were to be kept as absolute original with open grates, there was the need to install wood burning stoves with up to date technology in some rooms as there was the requirement for efficient heat sources.

We have been trading since 1991 and over the years have amassed a great deal of experience working with original fireplaces, so we were confident we would be able to satisfy the requirements for both the interior designer and architect.
